Sacramento Homeless...

Safe Ground, an oxymoron for the homeless these days-

Despite the countless efforts to provide shelter for the homeless organizations across the Sacramento regions are running out of options. Many are people opposed to helping provide a solution to the long standing effort to reduce homelessness. Combine the growing economical deficit with an upcoming budget proposal by new Governor Jerry Brown. Sacramento may face a great depression of its own.
Rather than people coming together; their fading apart. It has been made clear that people in Sacramento are tired of pan handlers, or the mess that is left behind by a homeless person. It is also clear unemployment is a major issue.
Stop and think for a moment; is it possible to propose such a plan that satisfies both the issue with unemployment along with a safe ground for the homeless? The Sacramento Bee has covered countless stories on this topic; yet no solution. An impact needs to be made.
As part of the proposed budget, programs such as those helping reduce the use of alcohol and drugs & CalWORKS, the state’s welfare-to-work program; both key programs that could potentially assist in an overall solution to today’s homeless epidemic. Rather than continue to bring the economy down, let’s come together and create the solution. For your sake, for their sake, for your children’s sake; YOU can make a difference.
