The mind of a ...

So will the long wait prove valuable? Sitting still in an average 19degrees, fighting the dry cold breeze slapping against your face chapping your lips, as the sun brings in the colder air front. The opportunity for the trophy buck sitting tall with a 23" spread, or the 650 black bear walking out into the open, awaits the final 2hr morning stand along with some last chance scouting, providing the morning stand comes out dry. What will it be?

30 Day Novel (general)

So it has been presented to me that, next month, a group of writers get together, and write a novel in 30 days. The plan is to complete 175pages & 50,000 words. Although this may seem like a hard task to complete, I think I am going to give it a shot. So now of course comes the topic, then direction, and so on and so forth. Anyway, if you were going to read a novel today, just picked up a book and started reading, what would it be about?

OAK (NFL)

74 completions and 160 attempts, going into game 7, QB JaMarcus Russell, will have to be on target against San Diego's defense. Following the BLACK HOLE we have been in with the Chargers, this game should be an all out brawl, with the the Raiders scoring 30-45 points. Not a shocker at all, RB Justin Fargas came into play with a vengeance, racking up 204 total rushing yards already. With a solid running game and Russell on target, the Raiders will have victory. In conclusion, on there way to the playoffs. Commitment To Excellence!!!

Hunting (Hunting)

Regardless, how hard you scout, how many miles you walk, or how long you sit on a stand. This season is coming to an end. Still no Buck or Bear in site, there is still one more chance. Only one last opportunity at victory. Stay tuned to what I am hoping to be an amazing last day hunt story.

Black Hole (NFL)

So the Oakland Raiders face the San Diego Chargers, this week. After losing 12 straight, the Raiders have something to prove. Not only do they have to prove they will not be man handled in such fashion, they also have to prove they are a contending team this season. Although it doesn't really look like a promising season, the Raiders still have hope.

Wow!!!! (NFL)

Yet another embarrassment to all Oakland Raider fans. What is really going on? I have seen high school teams more consistent then this. I have always picked out the strongest talent in the Oakland Raider organization to debate the fact that they are a Super Bowl team. I try and research as many facts as I can cram into my head. Even this season, with several outstanding Pro Bowl caliber players, the Raiders have a Super Bowl Team. Unfortunately the team can't play consistent smash mouth football. This is not how the Raider Organization operates. SERIOUSLY, 6 of 4 seasons 4-12. This season better pick up, and it better pick up quick. After losing 12 games straight to the Chargers, I am thinking the Raiders have a hell of a lot to play for. However will anything change. After the Chargers, the Raiders go into a bye week, hopefully a chance to regroup and recover from the embarrassment that has displayed thus far.

What is it? (Life Lessons)

So is it the ignorance, that refrains one from choosing, the difference between right and wrong, as an adult? Does the reality of others, along with day to day experiences, not help the growth of adulthood? I'm sorry I just don't understand what is wrong with people. Why is it so hard for some to understand how important life is to others, regardless of how careless one may be, the thought would be with blood & daily living do you not have the respect and courtesy of others ever in your mind?

One doesn't even fathem the reality of life!!! (Life Lessons)

The question that comes to mind first is, Does a person realize how many people, any individual event, this event can have an effect on? I don't believe so, because there is not enough care in the world for everyone to posses that virtue. By something as simple as a husband and wife fighting, yelling back and forth, in somebody Else's house. This may seem that only two people are having a bad day. However, the reality is, those two people, plus the owner/owners of the house, the people's family that attended the event, because not only are they concerned with their loved ones, they are also embarrassed that they acted out like that instead of being civil adults about the situation. So far my example has very little description, yet in my opinion, still should display enough of an impact on others, that as an adult, one would live up to the responsibilities of life. Unfortunately people just don't have enough respect or care for those responsibilities, so the end result is, others have to suffer or feel pain, sorrow, stress, or simply just live with an unnecessary inconvenience. In order to live up to those responsibilities, a person must first be able to accept the fact that there are a few things in life you have to do or ways you have to act, and by rebelling you are only digging your own grave. By digging your own grave and mixing in the fact that most just don't give a blank, that turns into a very lovely combination. Also one must figure out a way to set a priority list. YES!!!, I do realize nothing changes over night, however, some progress is better then no progress. The same as saying something is better then nothing.

Who? (Life Lessons)

So according to the latest conclusion, one can not figure out the obvious. All of the evidence sits in front of your face, yet still clueless. My Pops told me one time" stop and think, think of all the possibilities, and you will find in everything you face in life, 1. the solution, 2. an alternative, 3. you cant help someone that doesn't want to help themselves, 4. you cant teach somebody who doesn't care, 5. or that just knowing the fundamentals to something will lead to great success". I have spent more time hunting this season then I have in past seasons. All of the evidence sits in front of me. I still have more thinking and evaluating, along with scouting before I can have success. The Raiders have a solid team, although once again starting to plague with injuries, and yet the Raiders still can not put this corps together and annihilate the AFC. Then your left with the day to day trials and tribulations, the heartache and the sorrow of life, along with the happiness and joy. All for what? All for who? & All for why? What is all the wasted effort for? In the end I know if I continue to strive forward regardless of how much failer and heart ache I receive, everything will work for the better in the end.

One Last Chance (Hunting)

So another hard scouting session. After seeing 7 deer in less then 24 hours in the same location, the scout was left cold and dry. With no deer in sight and only 1 last chance the last day of the season, the hope has run thin. The sign has increased and so have the number of deer seen. Will this season come to the last day of the with a victory? Find out after November 1st.

Hope (Hunting)

So another journey into the woods. While a number of sitings have been reported, our success has been limited to, a set of spikes. It has been reported between now and Tuesday there will be rain or snow. Hopefully we will be in the middle of the deer moving. Although this year I am looking forward to a Bear. Either way lets hope for a weekend of great success.

HWB (NFL)

Will the Raiders ever pick a key receiver in an NFL draft? Recent pick Heyward-Bey, may turn into that. The Raiders are having troubles coming together as a team. WOW!!! Seriously how hard is that as a professional. Were far beyond the Pop Warnerstages, and the high school stages were friends have to mold together and find that groove. These are professionals. As a rookie, I believe H-B is being thrown into the perfect learning environment. The Raiders are having to start at square one yet again. This is certainly going to be H-B's developing season. Lets see how lethal he is next season, before we pass judgement.

Kids and Living!!! BAD09

Throughout the last several years, I have seen dramatic changes in weather, here in my hometown. With the consistent construction, less trees yearly, and growing population, the environment has changed for the worse. As I drive down the typical dreadful busy streets I see more signs that appear to be similar to tsunami. The higher winds, and varied weather temps. All the trees falling devastating those that face the wrath of the storm. A rising number in accidents. What will it take? When will society come together? We need to save ourselves! We are the ones AT RISK!!!!! We are only hurting ourselves. My Pops told me one time that “you can't help somebody that doesn't want to help themselves”. Knowing this fact, I have to cry out to everybody and ask, ARE YOU DOING THE RIGHT THING EVERYDAY, FOR NOT ONLY YOURSELF, BUT THOSE AROUND YOU? The old saying everybody knows “ one person, can make a difference”, this is true! Think, if YOU help, and make the RIGHT choice EVERYDAY, the number of people in America will make an impact far greater then imagined.

THINK!!! www.blogactionday.org THINK!!! Our children have futures. That future is your future. Today's children are tomorrow's today. People need to take a moment to think about that. With the undoubtedly dramatic changes in weather, society has to realize we are killing ourselves. For those that have a religious background, surely that should open your eyes. Suicide, obviously not acceptable. Those that don't smoke, imagine that you had the same complications as a smoker. With the changes, breathing is becoming more difficult for more people, also more people are being diagnosed with asthma. The streets are becoming more crowded with garbage daily. I can only keep asking “WHAT WILL IT TAKE”?

Simple easy steps to take to make a huge impact:

  1. Change the most frequently used lights in the house to the energy efficient lights.

  2. Everybody can contribute by recycling. By utilizing your recycle, as well as green waste, along with, taking your cans and bottles in to get a few extra dollars in your pocket isn't too much to ask.

  3. Keeping the vehicles we drive daily maintained, is more efficient.

By doing just these 3 simple things on a daily basis,

ALL OF YOU, will make a huge difference for yourself and our children.

Upcoming Talk on Darrius Heyward-Bey (NFL)

Will Darrius Heyward-Bey succeed as an Oakland Raider? There are many doubts coming from many, (if not all), Oakland Raider fans. In fact the doubt is on the entire Oakland Raider Organization. When will history be enough to change the future? When will it become apparent enough to Owner, Al Davis. The Raiders have gone 4-12, 4 out of there last 6 years. The Raiders wide receivers have failed since Tim Brown and Jerry Rice. The running game has been unheard of mostly, other then a few seasons here and there. Can we ever get a Quarterback that is accurate in his throws?

??? (General)

As the rain dies down, the wind remains stable. The clouds start to clear, and the sun slowly sets. The power goes out, and the family decides to spend the evening playing cards contemplating when the power will be turned back on. The sun sets and the power is back on, only to face a brownout. Freakin outstanding! Lasting only about an hour the power goes back out, giving just enough energy to tease somebody after just going to the grocery store that same morning. Thankfully at some point in the evening the power was officially turned on. One rain, One wind storm, One day, total chaos. It's amazing, how much, what appears to be a small storm, the damage caused. As the storm increases in both mass and intensity, the tragedy becomes more intense. The pain becomes more unbearable. The reality of what mother nature causes in life is relentless.

retraction (General)

Even though nobody reads the retraction, I am writing one anyway. I originally said I was only going to focus on sports and politics. That is out of the water. The glorious weather here in Sacramento today gave me a desire to talk about the fact I have not had a full summer in 3 years now. Traveling as often as I have been over the last few years has altered my summers. I am beyond sick of the weather, I can't wait for a full LONG summer!!!!!!

Week 6 (NFL)

A dreadful start, to a season filled with so much hope in, QB JaMarcus Russell, RB Darren McFadden, and new disappointing pick in WR Heyward-Bey. With a defense that seemed to be molding together, the season appeared to be promising. The Raiders face the Eagles in week 6 battle. The Raiders Defense must prevail in order to have any attempt at victory!

Getting started (General)

The first posting for me so I'm not going to really ramble, just going to let you know a little bit about myself and probably whats going to be the main focus to most of my blogs. I am a 28year old Disabled Veteran that served in Iraq for 1 tour. I have worked in construction most of my life. I love dogs. I plan on focusing mostly on sports and politics. The military will often be a focal point. Please respond
